The Nautical Science and Technology Expo successfully concluded at the International Convention Center in Cangzhou, Hebei Province on July 13. Li Xiaopeng, Secretary of the Party Member Group and Minister of the Ministry of Transport, Wang Zhengpu, Deputy Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hebei, Kang Yanmin, Vice Chairman of the Hebei Provincial People’s Political Consultative Conference and Secretary of the Cangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Fu Xuyin, Member of the Party Member Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport, He Jianzhong, Chairman of the China Institute of Navigation, and Zhang Baochen, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Institute of Navigation, and other leaders visited the exhibition site.
The Nautical Science and Technology Expo is one of the main activities of the 19th China Maritime Week, hosted by the Chinese Institute of Navigation and the Cangzhou Municipal Government. Based on the theme of "New Pattern of Nautical Science and Technology Innovation Empowerment", focusing on the main display line of "technological innovation", the Nautical Science and Technology Expo fully showcases the new achievements, products, and technologies of China's nautical science and technology in recent years through physical models, graphic display boards, videos, and on-site explanations, promoting nautical technology innovation, popularizing nautical culture, and enhancing the nautical awareness among the people.
The Nautical Science and Technology Expo established 5 state-owned enterprise exhibition areas, including National Energy Group, China Ocean Shipping Group, and China Communications Corporation Group; 6 research institutes exhibition areas, including the Water Transport Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and the Tianjin Water Transport Engineering Science Research Institute; 5 maritime universities exhibition areas including Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, and Wuhan University of Technology; exhibition area for nautical science and technology achievements, nautical groups standard exhibition area and exhibition of nautical science popularization achievements. At the same time, it has also created three themed exhibition halls: Cangzhou, Huanghua City in Bohai New Area, and the Cangzhou Grand Canal. The exhibitors cover more than 120 major member units and related enterprises in the domestic maritime industry.
During the 4-day exhibition, there were over 50000 visitors, and the grand event was successively reported by cnr.cn, Xinhua News, China Transportation News, and local media in Hebei Province.
