On July 12, 2022, the Aids to Navigation Committee of CIN (hereinafter referred to as the Aids to Navigation Committee) successfully organized the " 2022 Seminar to Exchange Experience in Intelligent Navigation Service". Leaders such as Zeng Hui, second-grade inspector of the MSA of the Ministry of Transport, Liu Shun, deputy secretary general of CIN, Chai Jinzhu, director of Northern Navigation Service Center, MSA, Jiang Jianyu, deputy director and chief engineer of Eastern Navigation Service Center, MSA, and Yang Youliang, deputy director of Southern Navigation Service Center, MSA, attended the meeting. All members of the Aids to Navigation Committee, heads of relevant business departments of Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangdong MSA, Northern, Eastern, and Southern Navigation Service Center, MSA and Changjiang Waterway Bureau, representatives of relevant scientific research institutes and port and shipping enterprises attended the meeting. The seminar was presided over by Deng Zhusen, chairman of the Aids to Navigation Committee, deputy director and chief engineer of Northern Navigation Service Center, MSA, and more than 600 people from relevant units in various industries watched the seminar online simultaneously.
Zeng Hui, the second-grade inspector of MSA of the Ministry, fully affirmed in his speech the extraordinary achievements in the development of navigation support, pointing out that intelligent navigation support not only ushers in new challenges but also full of unlimited opportunities, and the future development prospects are more promising. The Committee is required to undertake this seminar to give full play to the role of academic functions and make new and greater contributions to the development of China's nautical industry. Liu Shun, deputy secretary general of CIN, fully affirmed in his speech the excellent achievements of the Aids to Navigation Committee since its general election. He pointed out that this seminar is a grand event in the field of navigation support, and an important support for the series of 2022 activities of the annual academic conference of CIN. He hoped to continuously expand the academic impact of this exchange seminar, and contribute wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of navigation support and the construction of a country with strong transportation network.
The seminar was divided into keynote speech session and paper review session. The keynote speech session, themed as "Focus on Intelligent Power, Build a Shipping Power ", with six senior experts in the field of navigation support giving lectures on the application of realistic 3D technology in the field of intelligent navigation support, opportunities and challenges brought by emerging technologies for navigation support, maritime communication for intelligent shipping, first-class navigation support construction and implementation path, application and service of big data on navigation support, construction and application of comprehensive service system on intelligent navigation support. The lectures were rich in content, novel in ideas, and used simple words to explain the profound thoughts, with both theoretical height and practical depth as well as vivid application cases, which brought a wonderful academic feast to the participants. The paper review session was presided over by Gao Hanzeng, secretary general of the Aids to Navigation Committee, and a total of seven authors of excellent papers were arranged to share and defend their arguments at the seminar.
This exchange seminar is the highest standard, the largest scale and the highest level of academic exchange held by the new committee. Next, the committee will closely focus on the spirit of the tenth session of the CAST and the goal of building the first-class institute with Chinese characteristics of CIN, continue to make efforts in academic leadership, strive to build a higher and wider academic exchange platform, and continue to contribute to the development of China's navigation support cause, so as to greet the 20th National Congress of the CPC with excellent results.
