The Training Course on "Enhancement of Capability to Transfer and Transform Professional Technology in Intelligent Shipping" was Successfully Held

From July 10 to 12, the training course on "Enhancement of Capability to Transfer and Transform Professional Technology in Intelligent Shipping" of the project on upgrading the knowledge of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, hosted by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and co-organized by China Institute of Navigation (CIN) in cooperation with China Shipowners Association (CSA), and Dalian Maritime University (DMU), was successfully held in Dalian. The training adopted a combination of "on-site plus online" approach.

On the morning of 10th, Zhang Baochen, executive vice president of CIN, Zhang Shouguo, executive vice president of CSA, Wang Xiaoyong, vice president of DMU, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech respectively. More than 180 middle and senior-level managers from relevant ministries such as CSA, Rescue and Salvage Bureau of Ministry of Transport, and Liaoning MSA, famous shipping enterprises at home and abroad such as COSCO Shipping, CMNEG, and CCCC Dredging, as well as maritime colleges and universities such as DMU, SMU, and Wuhan University of Technology attended the opening ceremony. And the opening ceremony was hosted by Liu Shun, deputy secretary general of CIN.

The training course focused on promoting the future development of China’s intelligent shipping and building China a country with strong transportation network. The course involved intellectualization of ships, ports, shipping services and maritime supervision and the challenges and countermeasures faced by maritime education in shipping industry, etc., with strong professionalism and practicality. The training course invited 9 famous experts in the industry to give lectures , including Xu Zuyuan, former vice minister of Ministry of Transport, Zhang Baochen, executive vice president of CIN, Liu Zhengjiang, former vice president of DMU. They brought new ideas and pointed out new directions for the participants to jointly promote the scientific, healthy and sustainable development of intelligent shipping.
