China Institution of Navigation, together with Ningbo University and China Energy Research Society, held the 4th Ningbo International Symposium on New Energy Technology on November 6, 2021 at Taichangxiang Lecture Hall, Meishan Campus of Ningbo University through three online platforms. The conference brought together academicians, experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dalian Maritime University, Wuhan University of Technology, Ningbo University, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Mining and Technology, and from countries such as Sweden, Denmark, South Korea and other units to give reports and make exchanges.
Professor Yao Juming, vice president of Ningbo University, delivered the opening speech. He said that the new energy technology has been listed as an important direction for research in an effort to promote the development of key technologies of new energy. The 14th Five-Year Plan period is critical for China's transformation and development in energy. By discussing the research direction, industrial application and future development of new energy technologies in conjunction with the "double carbon" policy, we can contribute to the cause of "carbon reduction" in China, and also promote the exchanges and cooperation among professionals.

In the closing session of the conference, director of the Marine Electromechanical Committee of CIN Prof. Sun Peiting, and director of the Fuel Cell Committee of the China Energy Research Society Prof. Han Minfang expressed their heartfelt thanks to all the experts and scholars for their great support and looked forward to next meeting in further New Energy Technology Symposium.
