According to the requirements of the “Notice on Holding A Regular Organization Activity on the Special Topic of the Study of CPC’s History” issued by the Party Committee of Science and Technology Society (STS) of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the CPC’s Branch of Chinese Institute of Navigation (CIN) Office held a regular organization activity on the afternoon of August 18, 2021 at 403 room. Liu Guirong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of STS of CAST, and Zhu Hong, Director of the 25th Steering Group of the Study of CPC’s History and other comrades took part in the activity.
The activity was chaired by Yan Xiaobo, Secretary General of CIN and General of CPC’s Branch. during the activity, Yan Xiaobo led all members to review the oath, issued the birthday card of “100th anniversary of the founding of CPC” for everyone and summarized the regular organization activities of CPC’s Branch of CIN in the first half of this year. Then he made a check, analyzed the problems and reasons and proposed the targeted measures in the study of CPC’s history, maintaining ties service with the masses and the prevention of formalism and bureaucratism in accordance with the requirements of the CPC’s constitution, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, the “The CAST’s Program of the Study of CPC’s History”, the expectations of party leaders and the masses and the Ten Spirits of CAST.
Then Yan Xiaobo, secretary of the branch and other members respectively expressed their own insights and gains of the study of Xi Jinping’s important speech at the conference to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the other materials designated by the Party in accordance with the requirements of the meeting. In addition, they acknowledged their shortcomings, practiced criticism and self-criticism compared with the requirements of the objectives of the study of CPC’s history, each individual reviewed in terms of firming ideals and beliefs, enhancing historical consciousness,carrying forward fine traditions, strengthening the refinement of the Party spirit, playing a pioneering role on their posts, performing their duties and doing the practical things for the masses.
In the end of the meeting, Liu Guirong made a comment. He thought that the activity was well prepared and improved the development of CIN and every party member has gained a lot through criticism and self-criticism combined with the construction of CIN and characterizations of all departments. In the end, he put forward four suggestions. Firstly, all people could have a deeper understanding of Xi Jinping’s important speech at the conference to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the new era through the second stage of the study of CPC’s history. Secondly, we should build a brand about the study of CPC’s history of “One Hour A Week” or “Half An Hour A Day”. Thirdly, we should continue to hold “Do Practical Works for the Masses” activity and exploit these winners’ scientific spirit to spread widely. Fourthly, we should make branches play the increasingly important roles in better uniting science and technology workers.
