Expert Symposium on Group Standardization Development and System Research Convened by CIN

 

On the afternoon of April 10, 2026, the Expert Symposium on the Development Plan and Standard System of Group Standardization of the China Institute of Navigation (CIN) was successfully held in Beijing. Fu Guohua, Deputy Director of the Standards Division of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Transport, was invited to attend and provide guidance. Relevant leaders of CIN, members of the Standardization Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) and industry experts participated in the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Shun, Secretary-General of CIN.

At the meeting, Shi Shiwu, Executive Deputy Director of the CIN Standardization Committee, introduced the development and main achievements of CIN’s group standardization work. The research results of the group standardization development plan and standard system were compiled with the assistance of the Standards and Metrology Research Center of the Transport Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport. The project team made a special report on the compilation progress, overall framework and core content. The participating experts conducted in-depth discussions in light of the actual development of the industry, put forward suggestions for optimization and improvement, and clarified the key tasks and implementation paths for the next stage of maritime group standardization work.

In his speech, Fu Guohua pointed out that the development of CIN’s group standardization should closely respond to the reform requirements of "fast, high-quality and strong" for industry standardization, focus on the four new areas of new technologies, new industries, new forms of businesses and new models, accelerate the development of group standards in key fields, improve the quality and efficiency of standard supply, and support the high-quality development of the maritime industry with high-level standardization.

Li Shixin, Executive Vice President of CIN and Director of the Standardization Committee, made a concluding speech and put forward clear requirements for the next stage of group standardization work: First, we should solidly improve and release the development plan and standard system of CIN’s group standardization to ensure that the results are scientific, applicable and effectively implemented; Second, we should continuously improve the standard formulation procedures and improve the closed-loop management mechanism; Third, we should strengthen the application, promotion and implementation effectiveness of group standards, effectively play the supporting and leading role of standards, and continuously improve the level of CIN’s group standardization work.
