CIN Held Online Video Evaluation Conference on Science and Technology Achievements of “Key Navigation Safety Technology and Its Application in Major Water-related Projects along the Yangtze River Main Stream”

On the afternoon of May 18, 2020, CIN held an online video evaluation conference on science and technology achievements of “Key Navigation Safety Technology and Application of Major Water-related Projects along the Yangtze River Main Stream” jointly organized by Wuhan University of Technology, Yangtze River Administration of Navigational Affairs, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority. The evaluation committee consisted of seven experts, including Zhu Yingfu, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Liu Gongchen, former safety director of the Ministry of Transport. Sun Dunping, deputy director of the Science and Technology Service Department of CIN, presided over the meeting, with Liu Shun, deputy secretary general in presence.

With a scientific and rigorous attitude, the evaluation committee conducted a serious and objective review of the researching item and claimed that it initiated a theoretical system of navigation safety and innovated practical technologies for both navigation security and safety management for major water-related projects along Yangtze River main stream. The overall research achievements have reached the international advanced level, with two of the core technologies approaching the international leading level.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is the first time that such conference has been held online but with expected effects. It provides a new service mode for the evaluation of science and technology achievements in the future.
