On April 25, 2007, five representatives from CIN visited China Highway and Transportation Society (CHTS), including Huang Youfang, Chairman of the Administrative Council, Cao Di, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee, Wang Qun, Secretary General, Gu Weiguo, Vice Secretary General and Comrade Liu Ying from the Academic Department. The Delegation of CIN was warmly welcomed by Weng Mengyong, President of the Administrative Council of CHTS, Liu Wenjie, Vice President and Secretary General, Ju Rongyun, Vice Secretary General, and others.
The two parties made a heated discussion on the holding of and the follow-up work on the inaugural World Transport Convention (WTC) in June 2017, extensively exchanged views on the preparations, coordination, cooperation, and task decomposition for WTC, and reached an agreement on the publicity and evaluation after WTC.
In the meantime, according to the characteristics of the world’s transport and the demand for new technologies in line with the new situation, the two sides basically formulated a concerted reform and development strategy of integrating resources and building platforms, with a view to innovating transportation science and technology and planning future transport.
