"Smart Maritime" Helps Epidemic Prevention and Control

In the past few days, the Chaozhou Maritime Safety Administration used information supervision platforms such as "Smart Maritime" to conduct crew information investigations, and explored the use of "non-contact supervision" to actively respond to epidemic prevention and control, while the precision measures adopted successfully prevented viruses from entering the city through waterways.

Recently, the Chaozhou Port Marritime Department responded to epidemic prevention and control in accordance with the requirements of its superiors with activities of  juristic maritime supervision via information platforms such as "Smart Maritime" and " Maritime Eye ". On February 4, law enforcement officers found, through an electronic inspection of the smart maritime platform, that a crew born in Hubei was on the vessel “Zhaoshang ×”,which was about to enter the port. The officer called him to do some related survey immediately (It is reported that the crew had imposed self-quarantine for 14 days before boarding), and reminded him to take protective measures and measure temperature regularly. The crew member shall not leave the ship and go ashore without permission.

To be followed is that the Chaozhou MSA will continue to strengthen coordination and cooperation with port and shipping enterprises, jointly adopt strict epidemic prevention measures to work faster and do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, and spare no effort to ensure the continued stability of the water traffic safety in the jurisdiction.
