Notice on the Preparation for the Promotion and Exchange Conference 2020 for Outstanding Achievements in Maritime Science and Technology

All units concerned,
In order to promote and display the excellent scientific and technological achievements of maritime navigation, exchange and share the experience of maritime technology innovation, promote the progress of maritime science and technology and the integration and cooperation of high-quality maritime science and technology resources and achievements with industrial demand and capital, implement practical measures to build a "science and technology power" and "maritime power" and "transport power" by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. In view of that, CIN decided to hold "the Promotion and Exchange Conference 2020 for Outstanding Achievements in Maritime Science and Technology" in Ningbo in the first part of July this year, which is contained into serial activities 2020 Maritime Day of China. The notifications of the conference are as follows.
Ⅰ. Arrangement of promotion and exchange activities
(Ⅰ) The Promotion and Exchange Conference 2020 for Outstanding Achievements in Maritime Science and Technology (afternoon on July 7 and morning on July 8). At the conference, each completed unit of achievement is to give a speech on the basic information about the achievement (in fifteen minutes) to the participants including the demand side (5 minutes for questions). The main contents of the introduction may cover the key technical breakthroughs of the achievements, and their advanced, innovative, driven and applied nature, the scientific and social value of the achievements, the economic and social benefits, the necessity and feasibility of further research and development, the transformation, application and industrialization of the results, the prospects and the main difficulties, the results that have been formed and whether they have the significance of promotion value, prospects and applications of the achievements and so forth.
(Ⅱ) On-site promotion and display for Outstanding Achievements in Maritime Science and Technology (from morning on July 7 to morning on July 9). In order to communicate deeply and directly with those concerned and the demand side and increase the experience function and strengthen the interactivity and interest, the exhibitors can display and promote the excellent achievements of marine science and technology in the form of material objects (models), texts, pictures, videos and multimedia. The industrialized projects should be exhibited in the form of real material objects (models) and achievements can be displayed in single item, exhibitors can also make a concentrated display of their achievements. On display site, people can negotiate or sign a letter of intent to cooperate with the demanders and partners. Booths can be applied as needed.
Ⅱ. Project scope of promotion and exchange
1. Achievements in the past two years that have received the second place or higher prize of Science and Technology Award of CIN;
2. Achievements that have been listed in the library of major scientific and technological innovations of MOT and have certain product forms and market application prospects;
3. Achievements that do not belong to the aforementioned two situations but they get significant innovations and breakthroughs or have good application prospects, excellent demonstration through the unit application and the experts review of CIN.
Ⅲ. Ways to apply for the promotion and exchange
Project units that meet the above criteria are welcome to actively apply to participate in the promotion and exchange activities.
Outstanding achievements in science and technology can be applied for both the conference of promotion and exchange and on-site exhibition at the same time, or they can apply for either of the two. The same unit can exchange and display multiple achievements.
If any units have any project achievements to participate in the promotion and exchange, please fax or email the application (see Appendix) to the Secretariat of CIN before April 10, 2020.
