Flood! Move! Ouman Assisted in Transporting Relief Supplies for Henan Province in time

On July 19, Henan province’s rainfall amounted to 400.8 mm with 16 large and medium reservoirs over the flood limit. On July 20, Henan Province continued to issue a red alert for heavy rain. The rainfall poured in Zhangzhou in an hour can flood 106 West Lakes.  On July 21, many places had suffered from different degrees of damage. On July 22, the precipitation moved north to Xinxiang, Hebi and other places.

The rainfall in Zhengzhou had stopped but Xinxiang had become a swampy region. This once in a thousand years of heavy rain in Henan Province had touched the hearts of people all over the country. At about 5 pm on July 23, Ouman received the news that Fast and CAC people urgently needed transportation vehicles to transport a batch of relief supplies to the disaster area in Henan. With the cars networking technology which could locate the surrounding free vehicles in five minutes, he quickly contacted the dispatcher to find the most suitable transporters for the relief supplies. At 9:00 pm, all the supplies were collected and waited to be loaded. Zhang Guangtao, a driver, arrived at the loading location at 10:00 pm. Then, with the joint efforts of all the staff at the scene, all the supplies were loaded onto the car within 2 hours and Zhang Sir sped to Hebi, Henan province in the starry night.

On the early morning of July 24, Zhang Sir finally arrived at the donation site. He said: “I received the transport request yesterday afternoon when I was doing other work elsewhere.  But I couldn’t be absent from the such an occasion as helping our people in Henan, so I strongly requested to undertake this transport task. On the way to the loading site and on the way to the donation site, I was contacted by Orman staff to determine my location, plan the best route and monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure that nothing went wrong with the supplies."
