General Yin Zhuo Made the First Keynote Report for the 2016 Academic Annual Conference of CIN

On October 19th, the 2016 academic annual conference of CIN was held at the Students Activity Center of Dalian Maritime University. Major General Yin Zhuo, a famous naval military expert and director of the Advisory Committee on Naval Network Security and Informatization, was invited to the meeting. During the meeting, General Yin made the first keynote report on the historical and legal basis of the South China Sea Issue.
       General Yin made a thorough and comprehensive analysis on a series of hot issues of the South China Sea from four aspects. First of all, General Yin said that the sovereignty of the South China Sea historically belongs to China. Secondly, the jurisdiction of the South China Sea Islands and the area within the intermittent boundary line legally belongs to China. Thirdly, the jurisdiction of the South China Sea Islands and the area within the intermittent boundary line scientifically belongs to China. Lastly, he reaffirmed China’s basic stance on the South China Sea issue. All the historical and legal evidence talked above is based on General Yin’s over 30 years’ research achievements, historical documents and practical record of the South China Sea. General Yin’s perspective was unique and what he said was easily understood. What’s more, the audience could get his key point and feel the clear-cut stand. From his report, the audience was touched by the deeply patriotic sentiment and learned some knowledge about the maritime rights and interests of China. Moreover, this report will drive all the “sailors” to move on. All the participants benefited a lot and gave their warm applause to General Yin. After the report, General Yin communicated with the audience and answered their questions.
